Project |01 Current Trends in Education
My graduate assistantship allows me to consult with local school districts regarding technology uses in the classroom. I've been working with school districts to promote 21st Century learning, brainstorm about specific ideas to implement into a classroom, help decide between tablets and netbooks, and organize a pilot Bring Your Own Technology Program.

Project |02 Creating a blended learning environment

This video highlights my work in EDIT 9990: Technology Integration. The crux of the project pertains to implementing effective methods to maximize student learning. Technology is incorporated in the design of the project, in order to promote problem solving, group work, and projects. Also, technology can be used to leverage independent learning at home.

Project |03 Tutoring Videos

What initially sparked my interest in using technology in the classroom was as a response-to-learner intervention. I used this video, and more, to supplement the instruction and activities that were done in class. Students had the opportunity to view the videos at home, and retake assessments in class. Essentially, this model had specific components of a flipped classroom, such as learner flexibility and independent learning. More videos can be seen through my schooltube page. Click here.

Project |04 Google Apps Training Design Proposal

The Google Apps design proposal was made in EDIT 6170: Introduction to Instructional Design. Our group, named the MoLDS team, submitted a proposal to conduct a Google Apps training for high school teachers within a district.
